Nothing Phone 2 debuts in India with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and 50-Megapixel Rear Cameras: Price and Specifications

Nothing Phone 2, the second smartphone from the UK-based company founded by OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei, was unveiled on Tuesday. The Phone 2 is powered by a flagship-grade Snapdragon chipset and has a larger battery than its predecessor. The smartphone has a modified Glyph interface and supports third-party apps like as Uber and Zomato. It has a dual back camera arrangement with two 50-megapixel sensors. Nothing has promised the newly introduced handset three years of Android OS updates and four years of security patches every two months.

Nothing Phone 2 Specifications and Features

The Nothing Phone 2 comes pre-installed with the Android 13-based Nothing OS 2.0. The device has a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,412 pixel) LTPO OLED display with an adjustable refresh rate that may range between 1Hz and 120Hz, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, SGS Low Blue Light and HDR10+ certifications, and it is SGS Low Blue Light and HDR10+ certified. It measures 162.1×76.4×8.6mm and weighs 201.2gm. The Nothing Phone 2 is powered by Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC with an Adreno 730 GPU and comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It has three high-definition microphones and a dual stereo speaker system.

The Nothing Phone 2 has a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with a 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX890 sensor with an f/1.88 aperture and optical image stabilisation (OIS) and electronic image stabilisation (EIS) and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a 1/2.76-inch Samsung JN1 sensor with EIS, a 114-degree field of view, and an f/2.2 aperture. The Nothing Phone 2 supports video modes such as 4K at 60fps, 1080p at 30 or 60fps, and live HDR at 4K and 30fps. Slow motion videos at 480fps and time lapse recordings at 4K resolution are also supported. For selfies and video calls, a 32-megapixel camera with a 1/2.74-inch Sony IMX615 sensor and an f/2.45 aperture is located on the front.

WiFi 6, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS/A-GPS, NavIC, and a USB Type-C connector are among the connectivity choices for the Nothing Phone 2. An accelerometer, two ambient light sensors (front and rear), an e-compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and an in-display fingerprint reader for biometric verification are among the sensors on board. The phone is also said to allow face unlocking, even while the user’s face is hidden.

The Nothing Phone 2 has a larger 4,700mAh battery than its predecessor. It is dust and splash resistant, with an IP54 rating. The handset supports wired charging at 45W PPS.

Nothing Phone 2 Price in India

Nothing Phone 2 is priced at Rs. 44,999 in India for the base 8GB + 128GB RAM and storage configuration. The phone is also available in 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB configurations, with prices starting at Rs. 49,999 and going up to Rs. 54,999, respectively. It will be available in Dark Grey and White colour variants and will be available on July 21 through Flipkart and select retail outlets.
